Textually good news from Urban Meyer
Yesterday, OSU football coach Urban Meyer underwent an emergency appendectomy at Wexner Medical Center. The surgery went well and he’s doing fine. He even texted 10TV’s Dom Tiberi, telling Tiberi that he’s healing well and is looking forward to going to the Yankees game on Friday. I think we can all breathe a sigh of relief now that we know he’s ok and well enough to text. Because that means one important thing: he’s well enough to finish that “words with friends” game we started back in 2013. (deb)

Emergency surgery for Urban Meyer
Ohio State head football coach Urban Meyer has reportedly undergone an emergency appendectomy today. Reports are that the coach is fine, though the hospital may keep him overnight. As a result, Meyer has canceled a planned speaking appearance set for tonight at the University of Findlay.
The coach is scheduled to throw out the first pitch in New York at this Friday night’s Yankee game. Two nights after having his appendix taken out? We’ll see. (jj)
