Navigating the Memorial Tournament

This week, a number of the best golfers in the world descend on central Ohio for the Memorial Tournament. Hideki Matsuyama will attempt to defend his 2014 tournament win in a field that also includes this year’s Masters Tournament winner Jordan Spieth. Round 1 action is set for Thursday. Now let’s talk spectator logistics.

For those heading to Muirfield, there are public parking lots available:

  • Sixth Tee Lot – Located off State Route 745/Dublin Road
  • Columbus Zoo Lot (Thursday – Sunday ONLY)Located off Powell Road/Route 750
  • Ashbaugh Lot – Located off Brand Road just east of Muirfield Drive
  • Disabled Parking – Located in Muirfield Square at the corner of Muirfield and Memorial Drive (State-issued placard required)

There is also a LIMITED amount of on-street parking available. The left hand lanes in both directions of Muirfield Drive (North of Memorial Drive) are available for parking. Carnoustie Drive is also available. For either of these options, you have until one hour after the conclusion of play to move your car. Otherwise your vehicle is going to be hauled away.

*Park on a street in Muirfield Village that’s not designated for public parking, and your car is going to be towed…quickly. So, don’t even think about it.*

Remember, its all fun and games until somebody gets towed.  (jj)
