The 2015 Buckeye Cruise for Cancer is stranded no more! The ship made it to port in Tampa last night after being stalled because of fog. And while the weather was a nice sunny 70 degrees, it seems cruisers found another way to pass the time. According to 10TV’s Dom Tiberi, the players participated in a karaoke contest. “The stage was packed. It was one of the most popular things on the cruise, and it just happened because we were stuck,” Tiberi said.

And to end on (yet another) positive note: the cruise raised $2 million for The James Cancer Hospital. (deb)

No Land Ho! for Buckeye Cruise for Cancer

The 2015 Buckeye Cruise for Cancer might need to find a coconut phone and call The Professor (but not Gilligan). The cruise, which raises money for cancer research at The James, hasn’t been able to get to port in Tampa because of heavy fog in the Gulf of Mexico. Coach Urban Meyer and thousands of OSU alumni (plus 10TV’s Dom Tiberi – who has been tweeting about the whole thing) waited yesterday for better weather conditions aboard the Royal Caribbean’s Brilliance of the Seas.

I mean, it can’t really be all that bad to wait for ‘better weather’ when it’s sunny and 70 degrees. (deb)
