Opinion: NHL stars weigh-in on the Blue Jackets’ cannon

Spoiler Alert:  They hated it.

A record 29 goals were scored in Sunday’s NHL All-Star game at Nationwide Arena.  Twelve of those goals came for the home team, Team Foligno.  That means a firing of the cannon 12 times…technically 11 times, because for some reason, it failed once. But it was used a bit during game introductions, so you can add to that total. In any event, the cannon was fired early and often.  And it was LOUD….much to the agitation of some of the players involved in the game.  Florida Panthers goaltender Roberto Luongo summed up the feelings of many of the All-Stars with this tweet:
