Westerville golf champ injures back, withdraws from weekend event
Australia native / Westerville resident Jason Day has withdrawn from this weekend’s pro-am event at the Barclays.
Day, who won the PGA championship just two weeks ago, tweaked his back Tuesday night while trying to retrieve something from underneath a motorhome. The Aussie has a history of back and hand injuries that have affected his play. Symptoms of vertigo caused him to pull out of this year’s U.S. Open. (jj)
