A jackpot month for gamblers in Columbus
With four casinos and seven racinos in the state, the competition for gambling dollars in the Buckeye state is a fierce one. Numbers out for the month of January show that the Hollywood Casino Columbus is leading that battle. The casino took in nearly $18 million in revenue for the month. (That’s a 17 percent jump from the figures reported for January of 2014.) Business is also up at the Scioto Downs racino. Sounds like it was a pretty solid January all around for Ohio betting establishment. Apparently gambling is one vice that no one made a resolution to quit with the new year. (jj)
