Famed British alt-rockers Echo and the Bunnymen have set plans for a tour of the U.S. that includes a visit to Columbus. The lads will take the stage at the Newport Music Hall on September 15th.
The group formed in 1978 and released their first studio album (Crocodiles) in 1980. In the years that followed, the band has seen tragedy, a break-up and an obvious reunion. The band has released 12 albums in all including 2014’s Meteorites. Among their most notable tracks over the years: Lips Like Sugar, The Killing Moon, People Are Strange (from The Lost Boys soundtrack) and Bring On the Dancing Horses.
Tickets for Echo and the Bunnymen’s show at the Newport will go on-sale this Friday through TicketMaster. (jj)
