Fortunate July 4th for Dublin
Dublin’s pre-firework music festival has been taking off. In response to last year’s overwhelming numbers, the city is offering Dublin residents a chance for “first seats” with a wristband system starting June 1st. After that, they’ll sell $5 bands to those in the Dublin school district for two weeks and then the general public. And if there are still seats open after that, they’ll be issued for free on a “first come” basis on show day.
But for those outside of Dublin who want a seat, we say good luck. With the city’s numbers and the announcement that John Fogerty is headlining this year, you might not be the fortunate son of a gun who gets an open seat. However, the city will let you sit on the lawn outside the stadium – at no charge. (deb)
