An elephant never forgets
… that Pies & Pints is opening in the Short North today at 3PM! The latest (and eighth) eatery opens its doors this afternoon along (1020) N High St. in the former Fireproof Records building. And while the spot will be familiar to those who’ve been to a Pies & Pints before, some unique aspects were put in place just for the Short North.
Since it’s in a rehabbed building, alot of materials have been repurposed: there are fireproof doors as the new bathroom doors and part of the old sign is being used as a bar top. The space will also feature a wall for local artists to display their work, a mural of the company’s logo (a white elephant→) has been painted, and it’ll also place a heavier emphasis on the bar versus the dining area.
So if you’re in the mood for a slice, head down to the Short North later today and grab a bite, plus one of their 36 beers on tap (20 of which are local Ohio brews). (deb)
