Bacon Fest to sizzle at Columbus Commons tonight

How much do people love bacon? Good question. Let’s quantify this. A survey of our Canadian friends has shown that 43% of them prefer bacon to sex. Mind you, I don’t know the skill of the survey respondents’ individual love-making partners, but 43% is still an incredibly impressive number. Bottom line, we love bacon. And this a fact worthy of celebration.

Tonight, Columbus Commons hosts the first annual Ohio Bacon Fest. The event, co-sponsored by (614) Magazine and CD1025 will feature many of the city’s favorite restaurants and food trucks serving up one-of-a-kind and signature bacon dishes. Vendors include:

The event will also feature LIVE music and entertainment…and…for true super fans…a bacon eating contest (count me in!). Great Lakes Brewing Company will also be on-hand serving up amazing Ohio-made craft beers.
