Smaller is better for Rhinegeist

Rhinegeist is doing more than selling locally. The Cincinnati-based brewer, who announced earlier this year that they’d be opening a distribution center in Columbus, are also looking at opening a nano-brewery in central Ohio. The small-time brewery (which would make four barrels at a time) would be based out of their Neilston Ave. facility and likely be a space for research and crafting new brews. (deb)

Brew News: Another Cincinnati brewer coming to the Capital

We just can’t keep the Cincinnati crafters away. Rhinegeist Brewery, who’s been working on improving their Cincinnati-based space, announced that they’re also making plans to come to Columbus. The brewery is hoping that the increased production will expand their distribution into Columbus. AND! they also said that plans are in the works for them to lease a 167,000sqft warehouse in downtown Columbus.

Some of their beers can be bought locally, but a full launch of their draft and packaged beer should hit sometime later this spring. (deb)
