OhioHealth Capital City Half: Now serving pizza

Ch-ch-ch-changes are wafting in the air for the upcoming OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon. Just this past fall, the race got a name (and sponsor) change and now there’s another sponsorship change making its way across the finish line: Papa John’s.

The pizza makers signed a sponsorship deal with the race’s organizer M3S Sports. And that deal means that as runners cross the end mark, they’ll be rewarded not with (just) a participation medal – but with hot slices of pizza. Also runners (21 and over, of course) will be able to chase their pizza down with a glass of Yellow Tail Sparking Wine, Patrón Palomas tequila cocktails, and/or Michelob Ultra. A race with booze and pizza is a race that I can definitely see myself *running* in. (deb)

*The OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon will take place on May 2nd.

The change to the run anticipating about 15,000 runners and walkers was announced Thursday morning, according to Columbus Business First.
