Cravings Carryout Cafe finds new home downtown
Things are starting to look up for the folks at Cravings Carryout Cafe. Owners were told in August that they had just weeks to vacate the premises. The landlord was kicking them to the curb after nearly four years in business at their East 3rd Avenue location.
With the calendar acting as their enemy, Cravings’ owners took to social media to ask for customers’ ideas for a new location..and to Kickstarter to help fund the sudden expenses of an unplanned move.
The Kickstarter effort was successful with Cravings surpassing their $15,000 goal and now, Business First reports that the cafe has found a new home.
Soon Cravings Carryout Cafe (with an unannounced new name) will open for business at the former Saigon Palace at 114 North Front Street (near the corner of Long and Front). Though a lease has yet to be signed, it should be soon. (jj)
