Gahanna has some more thyme on its hands
Gahanna’s Vista Plaza might be getting more thyme: Fresh Thyme Farmers Market that is. The specialty grocery store, which already has locations in Dublin, Worthington and a potential Westerville spot, is looking at opening a third storefront on (1115-1153) N Hamilton Rd. If Gahanna approves the plans, some existing parts of Vista Plaza would have to be torn down to make way for the proposed 28,700sqft store.
City approval for the plan is still needed and a public meeting is scheduled at Gahanna City Hall for Wednesday (3/25) at 7:00PM. (deb)

Fresh Thyme keeps expanding in the burbs
Dust and debris will soon litter downtown Worthington as construction gears up to begin this month on the new Fresh Thyme. It will be the franchise’s second store in the area and they plan to demo the office building currently on their lot. In July Worthington City Council handed over a hefty ten year, 75 percent tax increment financing exemption, according to Columbus Business First.

The store also roasts fresh coffee and serves up pastries in the morning. For their grand opening, the store gave away a free bag of groceries for the first 250 people in the store which of course brought in lines of people out the door, anticipating the big day. The grocery store also donated $2,500 to the Children’s Hunger Alliance & Dublin Food Pantry during the ceremony.
