Guess who’s coming to dinner?
Wendy’s wants to get you all hot and bothered. With its newest sandwich, that is. The fast food chain has been toying with some new culinary creations and it looks like they’re ready to test some out on the public. Starting this week, Wendy’s will offer (for a limited time) Jalapeño Fresco Spicy Chicken Sandwiches and Ghost Pepper Fries.
And for those not deterred by the whole “ghost peppers are one of the world’s hottest peppers” thing, here’s more on the sandwich and fries:
- Jalapeno Fresco Spicy Chicken Sandwich: spicy chicken breast with diced jalapeños and a ghost pepper sauce on a toasted jalapeño bun with pepper-jack cheese, red onion, and warm cheese sauce
- Ghost Pepper Fries: fries topped with cheese sauce, diced jalapeños, shredded cheddar cheese, and (of course!) ghost pepper sauce
So, I don’t think I’ll be participating in this eating experience. But if anyone braves either the sandwich or fries, let us know your thoughts. And remember that water doesn’t really stop that “OMG MY MOUTH IS ON FIRE” feeling. (deb)
