Jeni’s wins business leadership award
The Specialty Food Association has named John Lowe, CEO of Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, as winner of its 2015 business leadership award. The award is presented to leaders and companies who ‘advance best practices in the food industry across the spectrum of workforce issues to benefit food industry personnel.’
Lowe was singled out by the organization for the role that he played in leading Jeni’s handling of this year’s listeria and product recall issues.
The award is shared with Greg Steltenpohl of food and beverage distributor Califia Farms.
