Pearl martini recognized as one of 2015’s best cocktails
The editorial staff at trade publication Restaurant Hospitality recently compiled their list of the top 16 cocktails in the country. Fans of the Pearl in the Short North will likely not be surprised to learn that one of the restaurant’s specialty beverages made the cut.
Mixologist Kelsey Corcoran is credited as the creator of the Dirty Pearl Martini. Corcoran says that the drink was partially inspired by her grandmother with its blend of Watershed Four Peel Gin, kalamata olives, caramelized orange, juniper berry and black peppercorn, Dolin Blanc and a dirty dill salt rim.
In their review, Restaurant Hospitality says that Kelsey has “developed a more sophisticated and, in our opinion, eye-opening version of a dirty martini.”
The drink is priced at $10. The Pearl is located at 641 North High Street. (jj)
