Pepperidge Farm remembers…and recalls…lots of bagels

Pepperidge Farm is putting the word out to shoppers…recalling more than 46,000 packages of bagels due to possible peanut and almond content that could affect people with allergies. No illnesses have been reported, but the baker wants to play it safe. Products involved in the recall are plain, everything and cinnamon-raisin bagels. Mini-bagels included in the recall include the whole wheat, cinnamon-raisin and brown sugar cinnamon flavors. Affected bagels will have a sell-by date in the Feb. 7 to Feb. 12 range and were sold in 23 states including Ohio. Customers can return their bagels to the store of purchase for a refund.  (jj)
