Schmidt’s puffs out expansion plan
Changes might be coming to Schmidt’s Sausage Haus. The restaurant (and delicious cream puff makers) want to expand by turning a storage room into a 20-seat eating space AND they want to add a 70-seat rooftop patio. But so far, those plans are falling short. The German Village Commission recommended against the expansion, citing decreased parking space; the expansion would reduce the size of the restaurant’s parking lot. Now, Schmidt’s expansion plans move to Columbus City Council for consideration.
So what’s the bigger issue: more Schmidt’s for less parking? Or same-old Schmidt’s with (already scarce) parking? (deb)
