There’s a new roaster in town

Good news for those of us who think there’s never enough coffee! Crimson Cup Coffee & Tea opened a new roasting plant and distribution center. At the new 20,000-square-foot facility on (1450) Alum Creek Dr., Roast Master Dave Rochus and his team will operate three gas-fired drum roasters – including one nicknamed “Godzilla,” that can process up to 325 pounds of beans at once.

The new facility is part of Crimson Cup’s plan to double its capacity. They’re hoping to import and roast over half a million pounds of coffee of this year. I’m pretty sure that’s the same amount of coffee I drink in a year. (Deb)
