Westerville man named to “Hot Sauce Hall of Fame”

First off….yes, there is apparently a Hot Sauce Hall of Fame. Second, no Pete Rose…I don’t know if you would be declared ineligible for betting on hot sauce.

Westerville’s John Hard was recently named as one of five inductees for the inaugural class of the (very much real) Hot Sauce Hall of Fame. Hard is the founder of CaJohn’s Fiery Foods. The former fire protection system expert founded the company in 1997 and has been making mouths and eyes water ever since. Hard is well-respected in the food community and is often called the “Godfather of Hot Sauces.” CaJohn’s product line includes an impressive number of hot sauces, salsas, spice rubs, barbecue sauces, wing sauces and other products. He and the other members of the new Hall of Fame class each received a bright red blazer and a ring.  (jj)
