Columbus City Council is expected to give approval today for a new Fifth Avenue bridge. Construction on the $9.7 million crossover is expected to begin at the end of this month. A portion of the fund would come from the Ohio Department of Transportation. Funds would also come from the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission. The balance would be borrowed by the city through bonds issued by the auditor’s office. (jj)
