Ginther takes oath of office tonight

Columbus Mayor-elect Andrew Ginther will take the oath of office in a ceremony at COSI tonight at 6pm. The event at the Center of Science & Industry will be free and open to the public. Afterwards, Ginther will enjoy a hot chocolate toast with children at First Night Columbus, an event being held at COSI. The First Night event is NOT free…so those wishing to toast the new mayor with hot chocolate, but not wanting to go to First Night should presumably bring a thermos from home (filled with Swiss Miss) and have a swig in Andy’s honor in the parking lot.

Ginther will officially become mayor at midnight.

A ceremonial swearing-in event will be held on January 13th at the Lincoln Theatre beginning at 6pm. This event will include a light reception and be open and free to the public.
