Kasich names local doctor as state’s first poet lauerate
A Dublin doctor today was named the state’s first poet laureate. Amit Majmudar is a practicing diagnostic radiologist and has previously published two volumes of his creative work with his third set for release in March.
Our first poet laureate will bring a unique perspective to this new role and is a powerful example to our young people that regardless of what career path they choose to pursue, they always can tap into their other passions.

Majmudar hopes to engage high school students and establish a greater link within the Ohio arts community.
