Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine (R) says that his office is nearing completion of an investigation into the state’s Planned Parenthood clinics. The probe was launched over the summer as videos claiming to show the organization negotiating the sale of fetal body parts began to circulate. DeWine is looking into whether or not Planned Parenthood violated its non-profit status by earning money from the illegal sale of fetal tissue and organs.
And a pair of democratic Ohio lawmakers today are expected to introduce a bill to create buffer zones around Planned Parenthood clinics in the state. They say that the measure would increase safety for staff and patients at the facilities.
