Potential POTUS Kasich irks Donald Trump
While we all go round and round on this whole “will he or won’t he,” Gov. Kasich continues to do everything that a presidential candidate would do. The governor has been meeting with major donors and making stops at key cities; but he still hasn’t said if he’s running for the 2016 Republican nomination. Although if he is, he might already have a rival: Donald Trump.
The billionaire hairpiece, who’s also teasing a 2016 presidential run, called out Kasich on Twitter the other day for appropriating his slogan:
I now see John Kasich from Ohio- who is desperate to run- is using my line “Make America Great Again”. Typical pol- no imagination!
He also took a jab at Kasich for his time at Lehman Brothers. But don’t think Kasich can’t defend himself. While actually, Kasich didn’t fire back – but fellow Ohioan Rep. Steve Stivers (R) did:
@realDonaldTrump Trump-eting old Dem attacks is lame. In Congress@JohnKasich balanced the budget & as Gov turned around the state.#NewDay
But hey, maybe if both announce their runs soon they can debate each other in Cleveland at the Aug. 6th debate. Although, given Fox’s new limit on the number of debating candidates, that might not happen.* (deb)
*Fox News said it will limit the debate to the Top 10 polling candidates from the last five polls; Kasich came in at No.11
