Statehouse looking bee-tiful

There’s some buzz at the Statehouse. As part of an Earth Day Celebration, the Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board are dedicating a beehive (with 25,000 honey bees) and planting a sourwood tree on the Statehouse grounds. The beehive will be overseen by Nina Bagley, of Nina’s Village Apiary (German Village).

They also hope it’ll serve as an excellent educational tool for schools and adults on the pollination process and raise awareness on why honey bees are dying out. Just don’t let Nic Cage near them … (deb)
