During his visit to Columbus on Wednesday, U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy had a message for parents: ‘vaccinate your children’
The statement comes as the country is looking at increased reports of the spread of measles and the country engages in a discussion largely centered on parents who choose not to have their kids immunized out of fears of side effects from those vaccinations. Murthy says that every death that could have been prevented by vaccination is “tragic.” The Surgeon General also weighed-in on the topic of marijuana legalization for medical use. He says that he plans to withhold judgement until he see results from more clinical trials. (jj)
