President Obama takes credit for Buckeye win
Yesterday, the Buckeyes continued their championship celebration by attending a meet and greet with President Obama – who (jokingly) took credit for their playoff victory:
“I cannot claim full credit. But I will point out that I pushed for a playoff system in 2008. This is a promise kept. You’re welcome, America.”
Coach Urban Meyer thanked the president for the new system. But all joking aside, 200+ guests (like former OSU players Archie Griffin and Cris Carter) attended the ceremony at the White House East Room where Obama congratulated the team and was presented with his very own jersey.

White House goes Scarlet and Gray
The 2015 National Championship Buckeyes are getting the presidential treatment. Literally. This morning about 200 people (like the team, OSU President Michael Drake, Coach Urban Meyer) boarded a bus headed for Washington, D.C., where they’ll do a meet-and-greet with President Obama. After arriving later today, they’ll get a tour of the city, then brunch, then head over to meet POTUS.
And while the whole team is excited about meeting Obama, it looks like Cardale Jones is already pretty pumped up about it (deb):
About to go holla at B real quick, yall might call him President Obama, we go wayyyyyy back tho
