Attempted home invasion near Franklinton ends in death of intruder

A man tells police that he shot and killed an 18-year-old male intruder at his home near Franklinton on Monday.

After the shooting near Rodgers Avenue and Scott Street, the man ran to a neighbor’s home and asked her to call the police, saying that he had just shot someone who was trying to invade his home.

No charges have been filed.
