Christmas puppy stolen from unlocked car outside of liquor store

stolenpuppy1Reynoldsburg Police are asking people to be on the lookout for a stolen puppy.

Shay Johnson says that she purchased an 8-week-old Champion Boxer as a Christmas gift for her son. She had the dog with her on Saturday when she made a stop at the East Livingston Liquor Store. As she exited her vehicle, a man walking by her noticed the dog and asked if it was for sale. Johnson told him no and that it was a gift for her boy. She then left the dog in the car and went into the store.

Surveillance video shows that moments later, the man returns to the unattended, unlocked vehicle and appears to take the woman’s wallet, bag…and dog. He then gets into his own vehicle and drives away.

If you have any information on this case, you’re asked to call Reynoldsburg Police at 614-866-6622.
