The owner of a popular bar in Nelsonville was gunned down overnight and authorities have arrested a customer in connection with the crime.
Officials say that Timothy Koker, owner of The Mine Tavern on Public Square, was found at the bar last night with a gunshot wound. He later died at a nearby hospital.
Detectives believe that there was a dispute earlier in the evening between Koker and a customer ((Taylor Mills). Law enforcement went to Mills’ home and eventually took him into custody following a brief standoff.
Mills has been charged with murder and is being held on $1 million bond.
