Driver eating bowl of cereal leads police on 100mph chase

614now Staff

cereal driverA woman who was eating a bowl of cereal while driving led law enforcement on a 30-mile chase into the City of Columbus overnight.

I’ll pause while that image sinks in for a moment.

The woman was seen driving erratically and was pulled over in Madison County. During the stop, the officer noticed the woman eating a bowl of cereal. A moment later, she took off…speeding away from the officer. And when I say speeding, I mean that she led officers on a 30-mile chase into Columbus at speeds approaching 100mph.

Her car eventually broke down near Weber Road and Reis Avenue and officers took her into custody. They later learned that she was driving under a suspended license.

There’s no word on whether or not the woman’s previous offenses include anything like this…or if she’s a cereal serial offender.
