Law enforcement agencies including the Major Crimes Unit arrested a German Village man this week after busting a THC extraction lab in Lancaster. Authorities say that the Collins Avenue address was listed as a legit business but, in reality, the facility was used for the cultivating of high-grade marijuana for purposes of extracting THC. Hundreds of plants were found in addition to large quantities of butane and other items and chemicals used in extraction.
The building was registered to German Village resident Jason Ortiz who showed up during the bust of the building and was arrested while police were on the scene. A search of his home on Reinhardt Avenue uncovered additional evidence in the case.
