Hit and run leaves pedestrian dead in the street

Police are checking to see if the owner of a nearby gas station has security footage of a hit and run driver that left a man dead in the street.
The incident happened near Livingston Avenue and Alum Creek during the overnight hours. According to a witness, after striking a pedestrian at around 3am, the driver of the vehicle pulled off into a gas station lot and walked over to look at the victim. The driver then got back into their car and drove away.
Based on witness accounts, police were able to find the vehicle and the driver has been taken into custody.
