Prison sentence for man who killed special needs bicyclist

The man who struck and killed a special needs bicyclist learned his fate today.
The case dates back to December 2012 and the death of a man known to neighbors as “Bicycle Bobby.”
Matthew McQuirt entered a plea of guilty in September of this year to a charge of aggravated vehicular homicide. 10TV reports that McQuirt was sentenced on Monday to 4 years and 11 months in prison. In addition, his drivers license has been suspended for life. (jj)
