The body of Stevens’ 14-month old son Cameron Beckford was found in a bookbag near Big Walnut Creek a week after he was reported missing just after Christmas last year. Dainesha entered a guilty plea to charges of involuntary manslaughter and evidence tampering. She was sentence to 12 years in prison. Daneisha claimed that her friend (Kurt Flood) had beat the boy to death. Flood is facing charges that include murder, evidence tampering and abuse of a corpse. He has pleader not guilty.

Daniehsa is now asking to take back her guilty plea saying that she suffered from battered woman syndrome.

Mom pleads guilty in death of one year-old son

Dainesha Stevens entered a guilty plea on Friday in connection to the death of her 14-month old son Cameron Beckford. Cameron was reported missing at Christmastime. His body was found in a bookbag near Big Walnut Creek a week later. Stevens agree to plead guilty to charges of involuntary manslaughter and evidence tampering; in exchange, she get a 12-year prison sentence.
