If you’ve left your heart in San Francisco, good news! You can fly direct and bring it back to Columbus. Southwest Airlines announced this week that they’ve added nonstop flights to the West Coast (Oakland International Airport) and Boston (Logan International Airport). The airline will start offering flyers these new routes starting in August.
One of the reasons for the new flights to the Bay Area was mentioned during last night’s State of the City Address. Mayor Coleman talked about bringing investments to Columbus and stressed the importance of Columbus now having nonstop flights to the West Coast. He said, “It’s a pipeline of investment from Silicon Valley to the best city [Columbus].”
