FBI arrests Cincy man planning ISIS-style attack on U.S. Capitol
FBI agents today arrested a Cincinnati man for allegedly planning an ISIS-inspired attack on the U.S. Capitol. According to reports, Christopher Lee Cornell, 20, hoped to kill government officials that he viewed as enemies. The Bureau says that Cornell planned to detonate pipe bombs at the Capitol…shooting government officials and employees as they attempted to flee in the aftermath of those planned explosions. The FBI says that they have been eyeing Cornell for months. After he purchased a pair of semi-automatic rifles and 600 pounds of ammo from a store in Ohio today, agents stepped in and took the suspect into custody. (jj)
