Fire takes family’s home, dog and Christmas

An early morning fire destroyed a family’s home in Licking County this morning. Firefighters arrive on the scene just after 4:30am and discovered the entire structure ablaze. The home was a total loss…that includes the family’s dog, Christmas presents and tree.

Thankfully, no one was home at the time of the fire. The mother was working an overnight shift. The father was attending classes out of town. And the three children were staying with a neighbor down the street.

No cause is known for the fire.
