Newly revealed details show that there was much more to the story of last weekend’s suicide at the Wexner Center.
Dean Sturgis, a former employee of the center, returned to the campus venue on Sunday with a gun and began firing on artwork. He then demanded that an unarmed security guard produce the key to the museum’s vault. When the guard could not comply, Sturgis took the guard hostage to go and get the key. When the key failed to open the vault, that’s when Sturgis turned his gun on himself.
