Yesterday evening, around 5:00PM, firefighters responded to a fire on Port Rd. in Groveport. When they arrived, the roof of the business – 40 feet wide and 400 feet across – had collapsed. The cause of the fire and roof collapse are still unknown, but it’s possible that the snow and weather conditions played a part. At least 75 people where inside when the roof collapsed, but no injuries have been reported.
A structural engineer will examine the building, and firefighters have closed the office for a next few days. (deb)
