Same company linked to Dublin fuel spill and earlier I-70 bridge crash

The transport company connected to the bridge crash that required the replacement of a portion of I-70 on the West Side earlier this summer is also linked to this week’s crash and fuel spill in Dublin.

The bridge crash in July caused a portion of the highway to be closed, traffic to be rerouted and a construction project totaling more than $1 million. The Dublin crash this week resulted in a spill of 4000 gallons of ethanol and a road closure lasting more than 12 hours. In both cases, the trucks involved were owned by an Akron-based transport company called HOC. NBC4 reports that the company has had 11 crashes in the last two years.  (jj)
