Seized exotic animals still in Reynoldsburg

The 11 exotic animals* that were seized from a Toledo farm in January are still in temporary housing in Reynoldsburg. Why? Litigation from several state and city organizations have tied up the case, meaning that the animals must stay. Veterinarians from the Columbus Zoo (who treated the animals) say they’re in good health and comfortable.
BTW – one of the animals was a liger! I seriously have to thank Napoleon Dynamite for clueing me onto the fact that yes, ligers are real. (deb)
*Animals at the farm: six tigers, a lion, a leopard, a Kodiak Bear, a liger, and a cougar
