Change could be on the horizon for Mt Carmel East
Mount Carmel East might be making some changes to its E Broad St. campus. The hospital filed plans with the city’s building and zoning services department to build a six-story, 284,000-square-foot addition for patients and a 439-space, two-story parking garage. And while details about the building expansion are still scarce, the new parking garage would be built over the existing surface and will add 2,000 parking spaces.
A spokesman for Mount Carmel Health System said no final decisions have been made about possible improvements to Mt. Carmel East. So for now, we’ll just have to wait and see what the timeline, and cost, will be. (deb)
