And it’s not good. The American Lung Association released their annual “State of the Air” report, and it’s not just Columbus, but all of Ohio that’s looking bad. No Ohio cities made the “Cleanest Cities” list, but Cincinnati and Cleveland made the “Most Polluted Cities” list:
- By Ozone: Cincinnati – No. 23
- By Year Round Particle Pollution: Cincinnati – No. 8 and Cleveland – No.10
But if you think that means Columbus is somewhere breathing easy, think again. The study also issued a State Report Card that ranked the counties’ air quality. And Franklin County got a big F. Looks like we need to start thinking of some way to clean up the air – or else start wearing those little masks over our mouths. (deb)
