The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and Board of Regents has awarded OSU with three grants, totaling $578,000, to study improvements on workplace safety like injury prevention and illnesses on the job. Specifically, the three grants will look at:

  • lower back and shoulder disorders caused from pushing and pulling tasks
  • preventing musculoskeletal disorders
  • studying safety and health risks at stored grain facilities
At least someone is keeping the ole “safety first” motto in mind. (deb)
