The Obama Bracket: Second thoughts about OSU

3.18.15_potus_bracketPresident Obama has released his completed bracket for the NCAA men’s basketball tournament. Before reviewing Barack’s selections, it may be worth noting his history when it comes to such matters. The president correctly predicted UNC to win the tournament in 2009, but hasn’t been able to forecast the winner since.

This year, it looks like the Commander-in-Chief is playing things pretty safe. He has three number one seeds in the Final Four with Kentucky, Duke and Villanova. (Sorry, Wisconsin.) Obama has 2-seed Arizona making it to the FF as well with Kentucky emerging as the tournament champ.

As for Ohio State, it looks like the President bumped the Buckeyes off in the opening round with VCU taking that match-up on Thursday. But the president reversed course, crossed out VCU and wrote in Ohio State to win the game. He now has Arizona eliminating the Buckeyes in that next round.  (jj)
