Wife of Lancaster mayor-elect accused of stealing $350,000 to cover gambling

These would otherwise be happy days for Brian and Bridget Kuhn. Brian is Lancaster’s Safety Director and won election to the mayor’s office in November. His first day on the job will be this Friday. Meanwhile Bridget is accused of stealing $350,000 to cover her gambling habit.

The special prosecutor in the case says that Bridget embezzled more than $300,000 from the Frazier Electric company and over $50,000 from the American Legion veteran organization. She’s also accused of taking an undisclosed amount from the Cameo League arts group. (For the record, the Cameo League held a Casino Night fundraiser back in February. No word on how Bridget did at the tables.)

In all, the wife of the mayor-elect is facing 50 separate charges and could go to jail for the rest of her life if convicted on all counts.
