ODOT gives downtown homeless the heave-ho

The homeless camp that once claimed space near the downtown Hyatt Regency is no more.  Weeks ago, warning was given to those living there that the time had come to vacate and that they had just thirty days to do so. Tuesday…time was up.  ODOT crews went in today and cleared the area.  A local community shelter is stepping in to help those affected.  (jj)
